Devil’s Eye

Devil’s Eye strawberry green tea with jasmine tea, muscat grape, blueberry eyeball ice spheres, and red syrup drips for a Halloween drink.

A strawberry green tea with a Halloween twist, built for a non-alcoholic Halloween menu

Devil’s Eye is a drink built for a Halloween menu, on a base most guests already know — a strawberry green tea with a light jasmine finish. Blueberries are frozen inside round ice spheres, and once they drop into the cup they stare out like a row of eyes; strawberry syrup is brushed around the rim so it runs down the glass like blood. As a non-alcoholic Halloween drink, it pairs familiar flavor with an eerie look to make a seasonal drink people talk about.

It drinks milder than it looks. Strawberry syrup carries the fruit and sweetness, while jasmine green tea keeps a floral, refreshing finish. A slow pour of Swiiyo Aura Beauty muscat grape down the inside of the glass adds a grape aroma and shifts the color from deep red at the base to lighter above. As the ice spheres melt, the blueberries come into view and add a touch of tartness to the later sips. The same strawberry syrup also anchors our Strawberry Brain Soda, a lighter sparkling option for the same Halloween table.

It fits a Halloween special menu, in-store signage, social content, or a themed event. Your shop can keep using its existing strawberry syrup and jasmine green tea and simply prep the blueberry ice spheres and the syrup rim. For a two-drink Halloween set, pair it with the Spooky Blueberry Coconut Water Drink, which carries the same staring-eye theme. After the season, drop the eyeball ice and the syrup rim and the same build works as an everyday strawberry green tea.

Ingredients

  • Beverage Base

    Strawberry Flavor Syrup|35 ml

    Jasmine Green Tea Base|150 ml

Swiiyo Aura Beauty, Muscat Grape Flavor|100 ml

    Blueberry Ice Spheres|As needed

Strawberry Flavor Syrup for the blood-drip rim|5 ml

  • Garnish

    Lemon Slice|1 slice

    Rosemary Sprig|1 sprig

  • Devil’s Eye Blueberry Ice Spheres

    Fresh Blueberries|As needed

    Cold Water|As needed

Place fresh blueberries in round ice-sphere molds, fill the molds with cold water, and freeze until completely solid. Adjust the quantity according to the mold size, cup style, and number of spheres used per serving.

🍹Directions

  1. Make the blueberry eyeball ice.

Place blueberries in round ice-sphere molds, fill with cold water, and freeze until completely solid. Unmold just before use.

  2. Create the blood-drip rim.

Brush 5 ml strawberry flavor syrup around the rim of the serving cup so it runs down the inner wall into uneven blood-like drips.

  3. Build the strawberry green tea base.

Add 35 ml strawberry flavor syrup and a little jasmine green tea base to the cup and stir until evenly combined into a strawberry tea base.

  4. Add the ice spheres and tea.

Drop in the blueberry ice spheres, pour in the remaining jasmine green tea base, and stir once or twice — just enough to blend while keeping the eyeball ice visible.

  5. Pour the muscat grape layer.

Slowly pour 100 ml Swiiyo Aura Beauty muscat grape flavor down the inner wall of the cup so the color shifts from deep red at the base to lighter above.

  6. Garnish and serve.

Top with a lemon slice and a rosemary sprig, and serve once the blueberry eyeball ice and the strawberry rim are clearly visible.

🏷 Tips

  • Let the drip be a little messy. A few uneven streaks look more convincing than a perfect ring, and thicker syrup leaves cleaner lines.

  • Freeze the eyes in batches. Make a full tray before opening and keep the spheres sealed in the freezer, so nobody waits on ice during a rush.

  • Pour the top layer over a spoon. Running the muscat grape over the back of a bar spoon keeps the gradient from turning muddy.

  • Keep the rim consistent. About 5 ml of syrup per cup is enough — too much pools at the bottom and adds sweetness, too little won't drip.

  • Build in a fixed order. Rim → strawberry tea base → ice spheres → jasmine green tea → muscat grape keeps the color clean and the eyes visible.

  • Make it a Halloween mocktail. Add sparkling water for a fizzy build; after changing the ratio, retest the strawberry syrup amount, cup volume, and where the ice spheres float.

  • Swap the eyeball. Test lychee around a blueberry for the eye; different weights and sizes change where it sits, so check the look in a clear cup before launch.

  • Extend to other fruit bases. Swap strawberry syrup for raspberry, blackcurrant, or grape to match your event colors, then retest sweetness, color, and the ratio with jasmine green tea.

  • Run an everyday version. Drop the eyeball ice and syrup rim and serve it as a standard strawberry green tea — set separate pricing and specs.
