The Son of Man | Aesthetic Iced Coffee Recipe

The Son of Man | Surrealist aesthetic iced coffee with apple, lemon, and espresso – a creative coffee recipe for café menus

Inspired by Magritte’s The Son of Man, this three-layered beverage blends fruitiness, citrus sparkle, and coffee richness into a creative coffee recipe.

Hojalicious draws inspiration from surrealist art to create The Son of Man, a beverage that goes beyond coffee to become a drinkable artwork. Designed as both an aesthetic iced coffee and a showcase of creative coffee recipes, it layers green apple, lemon, and espresso into a surreal visual and taste experience.

The drink begins with a refreshing base of Green Apple Syrup blended with cold water, offering crisp sweetness reminiscent of the apple motif in René Magritte’s painting. The middle layer introduces sparkling lemon soda, bright and effervescent, adding a lively citrus kick. Finally, a chilled espresso layer crowns the drink, bold and aromatic, contrasting perfectly with the fruity notes below.

Finished with a touch of fresh mint, The Son of Man is visually striking, with three distinct layers that capture attention instantly. Its simplicity of preparation, combined with high visual impact, makes it ideal for seasonal menus, limited-time café promotions, or themed beverage collaborations. For modern coffee shops, this recipe offers both artistry and efficiency, ensuring every serving delights customers while strengthening brand storytelling.
