Nine-Square Toast
Make mornings more fun with Nine-Square Toast—each square is a mini canvas of flavor. From strawberry jam and cream cheese to ham and cheddar, this dish turns basic bread into a brunch-worthy masterpiece.
Ingredients
- 3–4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough) 
- Fruits: strawberries, kiwis, grapes, blueberries 
- Spreads: jam, peanut butter, Nutella, cream cheese 
- Cheese: brie, cheddar, mozzarella 
- Proteins: ham, boiled egg slices, smoked salmon 
- Optional: microgreens, seeds, edible flowers, yogurt drops 
Directions
- Toast the Bread - Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Remove crusts and cut each slice into 4 equal squares. Toast for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. 
- Arrange on Plate - Place 9 squares on a board or plate in a 3x3 grid layout. 
- Add Toppings - Layer different flavors on each square—mix fruits, cheeses, and proteins for variety. 
- Garnish & Serve - Decorate with seeds, herbs, or edible flowers. Serve immediately or photograph for content!
