This beverage breaks the stereotype that matcha must pair with red bean. We reinterpret the Matcha Latte using the sweet logic of a Caramel Drink. The bittersweet caramel, the umami of matcha, and the Coffee Jelly at the bottom stack up to create a layered Coffee Jelly Drink that is as rich as a dessert.

Caramel Matcha Latte with Coffee Jelly is an Iced Matcha Latte designed specifically for texture lovers and matcha enthusiasts. We’ve given the classic Japanese matcha latte a Western soul, using the aroma of caramel to balance the slight bitterness of matcha, creating this rich and flavorful specialty.

The design philosophy of this drink revolves around "Richness" and "Healing":

1. Flavor Fusion: East Meets West

This is more than just an ordinary Matcha Latte. We introduce the sweet concept of a Caramel Latte, using caramel walling and drizzle to add a butterscotch-like depth to the fresh matcha. The "umami" of matcha and the "sweetness" of caramel blend perfectly in the mouth, delivering an unprecedented warm and smooth flavor.

2. Textural Layers: The Fun of Coffee Jelly Drink

To add fun to the drinking experience, we added Coffee Jelly at the bottom. This dark jelly layer not only visually anchors the Layered Drink, but also provides a hint of bitter coffee aroma and a chewy texture, perfectly bridging the smooth milk and matcha liquid.

3. Visuals & Ritual: The Ultimate Whipped Cream Drink

The topping is the soul of this drink. Dense Whipped Cream garnished with a classic Caramel Biscuit (Lotus Biscuit). This not only reinforces the visual theme of the Caramel Matcha Latte, but also invites customers to dip the biscuit into the cream and matcha first, enjoying a "eat first, drink later" slow-living ritual.

 

Ingredients

  • Jelly Base:

  • Visual Swirl:

    • Caramel Sauce: As needed, drizzled along the cup wall

  • Sweet Milk Layer:

    • Milk: 100 ml

    • Cane Sugar: 20 ml

    • Ice Cubes: Fill to top

  • Matcha Soul Layer:

  • Topping:

    • Whipped Cream: As needed

    • Caramel Drizzle: Small amount

    • Caramel Biscuit (Lotus): 1 piece

Directions

  1. Whisk the Matcha

    Mix Pure Matcha Powder with Hot Water. Whisk until completely dissolved and frothy. This is the flavor core of the Iced Matcha Latte.

  2. Base & Wall

    Drizzle Caramel Sauce along the inside of the serving cup to create a swirl effect. Add Coffee Jelly to the bottom. Fill with Ice Cubes to the top.

  3. Create Layers

    Mix Milk and Cane Sugar, then slowly pour into the cup as the white layer. Next, gently pour the Matcha Liquid over the ice.

    • Layering Tip: The matcha liquid will float above the milk, creating a beautiful green-and-white gradient.

  4. The Caramel Top

    Pipe a tall peak of Whipped Cream on top. Drizzle with Caramel Sauce and garnish with a Caramel Biscuit. This final step completes the luxurious look of the Whipped Cream Drink.

Matcha Prep: Use a bamboo whisk (Chasen) or electric frother to ensure the matcha is fully emulsified and clump-free.

Drinking Ritual: Recommend customers dip the biscuit in the cream first, then stir the drink to blend the matcha and caramel milk, enjoying a rich Caramel Drink flavor.
