Honeydew Osmanthus Oolong Tea

Tall glass of honeydew osmanthus oolong tea with a green base, pale golden tea, ice, lemon slices, and mint.

A floral honeydew tea for warm days — sweet honeydew and soft osmanthus over light oolong, finished with lemon and mint.

Honeydew Osmanthus Oolong Tea is a refreshing floral fruit tea for spring and summer menus. Green honeydew syrup leads with a bright, sweet melon flavor and a clear green color, osmanthus syrup adds a soft floral note, and light oolong tea brings the drink together so the sweetness never turns heavy. The cup finishes with a refreshing tea note and a gentle aftertaste.

The look is all about the clear green tea and the ice. Build the honeydew base, add ice, then let the osmanthus and oolong come together for a bright, see-through color. Lemon slices and a sprig of mint finish it — the citrus and herb lift the honeydew and osmanthus and give the drink a fresh iced-tea feel.

On a commercial menu, the roles are clear and easy to standardize: honeydew syrup carries the sweetness and color, osmanthus syrup adds the floral layer, oolong keeps the tea note, and lemon and mint finish the look. It fits a honeydew tea, honeydew oolong tea, osmanthus oolong tea, fruit tea, or spring–summer iced tea line.

Ingredients

Beverage Base|500 ml / 16 oz

Golden Mountain Lightly Roasted Oolong Tea Base|150 ml

Honeydew Flavor Syrup — 25 ml

Osmanthus Syrup — 10 ml

Ice Cubes — Fill the serving cup approximately 80% full

Garnish

Lemon Slices — 3 slices

Mint Sprig — 1 sprig

🍹Directions

  1. Blend the Honeydew Tea Base

Add 25 ml of Honeydew Flavor Syrup to the serving cup. Pour in a small amount of the prepared 200 ml Golden Mountain Lightly Roasted Oolong Tea Base, then stir thoroughly until the syrup is evenly blended with the tea.

  2. Add the Ice and Osmanthus Syrup

Fill the serving cup approximately 80% full with ice. Drizzle 10 ml of Osmanthus Syrup evenly over the ice, allowing the floral flavor to sit between the chilled honeydew base and the remaining tea.

  3. Pour in the Remaining Oolong Tea

Add the remaining Golden Mountain Lightly Roasted Oolong Tea Base. Stir gently 1–2 times to combine the honeydew, osmanthus, and oolong tea while maintaining the drink’s clear appearance and visible color variation.

  4. Garnish with Lemon and Mint

Finish the drink with 3 lemon slices and 1 mint sprig. Serve immediately.

🏷 Tips

  • Keep the Tea Base Consistent

Use the same tea-to-water ratio, brewing time, and preparation method for every batch. A consistent oolong tea base helps maintain the intended balance after the syrups and ice are added.

  • Measure Both Syrups

Measure 25 ml of Honeydew Flavor Syrup and 10 ml of Osmanthus Syrup for every serving. If syrup pumps are used, check the amount dispensed by each pump before adding the recipe to the store’s standard operating procedure.

  • Keep Osmanthus in the Finish

The osmanthus syrup should follow the honeydew rather than become the leading flavor. Keeping it at a lower proportion adds a floral finish while allowing the honeydew and oolong tea to remain recognizable.

  • Use Fresh Ice and Prepare to Order

Fresh ice helps preserve the drink’s clear green appearance. Serve the beverage soon after preparation to limit dilution and maintain consistent color, sweetness, and tea flavor.

  • Use It as a Seasonal Menu Visual

The green tea color, lemon slices, and mint photograph well for spring and summer menus. The drink can be featured on menu boards, counter displays, and seasonal promotional materials.
